Joe Kennedy announced yesterday he’s laying off 20 employees and temporarily halting most of his winter fuel-assistance programs due to Citgo yanking $100 million in support for the nonprofit Citizens Energy. Citgo, owned by the Freaken Venezuelan government led by leftist loudmouth president Hugo Chavez, recently informed Kennedy that it was “temporarily” suspending its oil donations for the low-income program. Kennedy, who was clearly distraught by the unexpected decision, said Citgo’s move is apparently tied Possibly even better than Chavez feeling pain is Joe Kennedy feeling pain. $100 million from a brutal leftist dictator is a lot of money and a lot of obligation from Joe. No wonder he was so eager to go on the air to sing Hugo's praises. Hugie paid him well.

Probably more offended by thee rejection of a commie statethan the actual money loss. Heaven forbid the Kennedy's reaching in their own pockets to fund it.

cutting off heating supplies at a time when the less fortunate need it most. how cruel mr. chavez. but then again he is quite familar with creating a less fortunate class isn't he!!!
I wonder how Sean Penn feels about his buddy Chavez now? Hey, Bud, let's party!?
I hate to say it but most of the Kennedys today would sell their souls to a dictator for their own glory.
He should never have accepted Citco's 100 million?
Aint it funny that this year in nys [and possibly other new engl. states] our government decided to up the HEAP benifit to 800 dollars!! Thank you joe kennady. chaves still stinks but as far as i say our government does to.
it sounds like you are having some fun it looks like a great place to spend some time away from it all.
Well I would like to honor your blog by presenting you with (The Honest Scrap Award
So, I would love to know what Joe Kennedy is doing, if anything, to try to secure more funding for this non profit organization that he founded (Citzens Energy Corp). Is he just going to fold up and cry boo hoo, that ruthless dictator Chavez pulled his funding, so now the hell with the company I founded and people will just have to go without heat?
Citgo has only been the major donor for the last several years. If Kennedy is serious about this non profit org surviving, he needs to get to work and find new funding elsewhere.
Gee, I wonder if Kennedy finally realizes that he was duped by Chavez, who used him for Citgo's p.r. campaign that they care about Americans and are a company with "social responsibility". What a joke!

Joe decided to dance with a dictator and now he's crying because Hugo is waltzing with another lover? Go figure.
Wonderful blog! Thanks for sharing.
